Asics

I read another blog this week stating you don't need to spend over $100 for a good pair of running shoes. Well, I don't really agree. I'm extremely frugal and love saving money, but running shoes are something that I don't really worry about the price on. My past 3 pairs have been over $100, and some have been better than others.  I honestly believe you should purchase your shoes by the feel and if they are a good fit for you.  You're feet will thank you.

With that being said...I LOVE my Asics! They are my go to running shoes for the last few years and they haven't disappointed me...until now. My latest pair (gt2000) isn't as comfortable as my previous pairs, so I decided to check out Fleet Feet in San Antonio for a reevaluation of my feet and to check out their selection. Needless to say...they recommended the gt2000 and I didn't want to buy another pair.  So, I opted for the Ravenna 4 by Brooks.  Stay tuned for their review!

Japanese Tea Gardens

I've completed the first phase of my masters/dietetic internship program and we decided to celebrate and take a break by finalizing our graduation ceremony and dinner while visiting the Japanese Tea Gardens.
A few people in our group enjoyed food and tea from the small café and they stated the food was tasty.

The area is quite, although there were quite a few families and runners in the area while we discussed our celebratory events. A great

place for a family or event a single person outing that can get you back to nature.

If you decide to visit the Japanese Tea Gardens, why not swing by the San Antonio zoo and make a whole day trip!!!
